iQ International AG owns a worldwide patent portfolio protecting its innovative 360° electrolyte mixing technology for flooded car batteries, which make up the largest market share of SLI (Starting, Lighting, Ignition) batteries in the automotive sector. The portfolio, which consists of five patent families, provides protection through the year 2035 and covers countries comprising 95% of the world’s automobile sales.
As part of a possible major financing, which iQ International is currently seeking, the above portfolio was recently valued by an independent and well-established specialty valuation firm in the US.

The increase in valuation results primarily from faster than expected adoption of start-stop vehicles (SSV) into the world’s vehicle fleet, the higher than expected sales growth for lead-acid starter (SLI) batteries in general and the greater international acceptance of our 360° Mixing™ technologies.
Increased battery cycle-life is imperative for today’s automobiles. This is particularly true for start-stop application vehicles. iQ International’s 360° Mixing™ technology provides the Company and its licensed battery manufacturing partners significant market advantages such as doubling the cycle life compared to standard flooded batteries and a lower cost and lower weight alternative to Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries with equal or better performance when used in the new and more robust EFB type batteries for start-stop applications. The high cycle life coupled with cost savings and the higher robustness and reliability, especially in extreme hot or cold climate zones, makes iQ International’s 360° Mixing™ batteries the ideal solution for both SSV vehicle manufacturers and for after-market sales to vehicle owners.
In addition to the 360° Mixing™ technology portfolio, iQ International is expanding is patent portfolio with patent applications related to its disruptive Advanced Battery Factory (ABF) concept and related equipment. iQ International’s Advanced Battery Factory, once funded and deployed, is expected to produce lead acid batteries in 24 hours versus the typical 72-hour timeline for conventional plants. In addition, an ABF provides important ecological benefits, including, among others, the consumption of 25% less electricity and 90% less water than today’s conventional battery manufacturing facilities.
The ABF manufacturing technology patent portfolio coupled with 360° Mixing™ patents could position iQ International to be an important technology leader in the lead-acid battery sector spanning both transportation and industrial applications.
iQ International’s management and Board believes that the Company’s current stock price of about 0.65 EUR (at the time of this release) is undervalued, as the 360° Mixing™ alone has been independently appraised at 95 million US$. To provide shareholders with a better understanding of the Company value, iQ International is planning to conduct an enterprise valuation which will encompass all iQ technologies and is expected to further raise the total valuation of the Company above 95 million US$.
